Marcus

Marcus grew up in a house full of music; his earliest influences coming from bands such as Green Day and Muse.  He played guitar and drums, becoming proficient at both, though his drum kit became his main focus.

At around the age of sixteen Marcus picked up a two-row melodeon, belonging to his dad, and fell in love with both its look and its sound.  He took lessons with John Wilshaw for a year or two and attended workshops with Wim Claeys, Frederic Paris and Bruno Le Tron.  Claeys and Le Tron, in particular, became powerful influences. Marcus' current instrument, a custom made three row Castagnari, has allowed his skill and artistry to find new levels of sophistication and expression.

In 2009 Marcus joined up with Jake Evans on Guitar to form the duo ‘Clic’ playing an esoteric mix of sounds for listening and for dancing. He joined Venn in 2012.
